Whether you’re a working parent or just looking for a way to keep the kids busy this summer, Camp Skylark summer day camp is a great solution! It can be hard to send your kids off for the day without knowing what they’ll be doing. You may be wondering, “what exactly should I expect at Camp Skylark?” If that’s you, you’re in the right spot!
We want you to know exactly how your child will be spending their days at Camp Skylark from 9am to 4pm, so you can go about your summer days worry-free this year. Working families can also take advantage of our extended care hours, available from 7:30am to 6pm!

Expect Fun Activity Classes at Camp Skylark
One of the best parts of a day at summer day camp are the activity classes! All that summer energy will be well spent for your kids with 3 different activity classes sprinkled in throughout the day. We have a variety of engaging, exciting activities for your child to participate in.
What’s summer day camp without a fun way to expel energy? Your child can jump from the inflatables to the Gaga Ball pit, and then race to the finish line in Scooter Sports and hone their skills in the Ninja Course.
If your child is always on the go, these activities will likely be their favorite part of camp. If not, they provide a great opportunity for your child to step outside his or her comfort zone and bond with other campers.
Creativity at Skylark
No school? No problem. We think creativity is important at all times of the year! Your child will put their problem-solving skills to the test through engaging activities like the Quest scavenger hunt.
They can let their imagination run free by doing Arts and Crafts to unlock the creative side of their brain at the Creation Station.
Last but not least, LitCamp brings reading to life! We are passionate about communicating the FUN of reading. Campers can bring their own summer reading or pick from our library. They won’t miss a beat this summer as we prepare them for fall. We have opportunities to improve reading comprehension and excel to new heights with LitCamp!
Expect to Build Friendships at Camp Skylark
What better way to find new friends at summer day camp than through friendly competition? Whether you’re cheering each other on or challenging for first place, Camp Skylark incorporates Team Competitions to bring everyone together. Win or lose, this is a great part of summer day camp! Campers can sing along to Rally Songs and laugh together at Skits, all while bonding with their fellow campers and counselors.
Team Competition helps to develop leadership, sportsmanship, and of course, teamwork! Camp Skylark’s rally songs and skits deliver timeless aspects of summer day camp to promote fellowship.
Expect to Cool Off From the Summer Heat
Texas summers can get hot, and we have the perfect solution for keeping cool! That’s why you’ll find a whole host of outdoor water games and activities to keep campers cooled off during the heat of the day. They can then relax with snacks and spend time hanging and having time at our snack store.
Look Forward to Digging Deep
A foundational part of a summer day camp at Camp Skylark is time spent receiving God’s word. Camp Skylark has Bible study each day where your child can learn about the word of God. We will facilitate the exploration into his message in daily Bible Studies, where fun meets a foundation of faith.
