Did you hear?!?! Skylark has some brand new activities! We call it the X-TOURS. It’s our X-treme X-perience packages that will rotate through all the Skylark locations, all summer long!
- Vert: We have X-treme fun headed your way with our brand new Ninja Warrior Course, Rock Wall, an Obstacle Course and Rip Sticks!
- Splash: Hot summer days aren’t so hot when you’re on a GIANT water slide! This X-TOUR also includes a bounce house, slip-n-slide & dunk tank!
- Hype: Ball, Bumper Ball, Joust, Axe Throwing and a fresh cool-down with delish Sno Cones…
Why Did We Create X-Tours?
Why did we work so hard to create the X-TOURS? Well, let me tell you. Joy is one of our core values! For kids to be able to experience something way outside their realm of normal and maybe even get to challenge themselves and stretch their comfort zone brings such great joy!
Skylark’s Summer Activities Are All About Joy
It brings joy to campers to experience the adventure of climbing and jumping and running and splashing and using all the “outside voice” they want to. It brings joy to parents because they can feel confident that their kid’s day wasn’t just spent at childcare. Their child’s day was truly an X-TREME experience and something they’ll never forget. We, the Skylark Team, feel such great joy to provide these incredible opportunities to all of our campers. We believe it’s a key component to our program. We also love to see their confidence grow as their counselors and their cabin group become part of their personal motivation to try something new, even if it might seem a little scary at first.
To go a step further, climbing up walls is also about tearing them down. We desire to invest in all our campers both emotionally and spiritually. At the end of the day we always talk about what happened and process what they felt, learned, loved and even fears they overcame and goals they set for themselves. During these times of reflection, it’s incredible how every new adventure can have such a deep impact when they begin to see and understand how a rock wall or a giant inflatable slide can have a life lesson and even a spiritual component behind it.
It’s all about JOY! And we can’t wait to see the joy on their faces this summer when they experience the X-TOURS.
